Was this list helpful to you? Myrtle essential oils have a camphoraceous, fresh, floral fragrance. They smell a little like a floral eucalyptus oil, which is no surprise since Myrtle shrubs are in the same family as eucalyptus. This slightly floral note makes myrtle oil especially good for aromatherapy. It fills the room a pleasant, freshen fragrance. When you shop for your myrtle oil, be sure to check the constituent analysis before you buy so that you know whether you’re getting red or green myrtle. Red myrtle is more common, and it’s a good essential oil; however, if you want it primarily for anxiety treatment, stress reduction and relaxation, green myrtle is preferable. It is higher in myrtenyl acetate and linalool.
