Black pepper essential oil is steam distilled from the fruits of the Piper nigrum vine, which are commonly called peppercorns. It is used to treat arthritis, bacterial infections, digestive problems, colds, flu, congestion, edema, poor appetite, muscle spasms and to fend off free radical damage.

This essential oil has analgesic, anti-arthritic, antibacterial, anti-catarrhal, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anti-rheumatic, antiseptic, antispasmodic, antitoxic, aperient, aphrodisiac, carminative, diaphoretic, digestive, diuretic, expectorant, febrifuge, laxative, rubefacient and stimulant therapeutic properties.

1. Alleviate Fatigue

2. Improve Circulation

Mix 1 to 2 drops of black pepper essential oil into 1 teaspoon of carrier oil. Massage the blend into the chest then any areas of the body that are affected by poor circulation. The legs and arms are the most common areas where circulation slows, but you might want to increase the circulation in your abdominal area and back, too.

3. Speed Bruise Healing

Apply a 1% to 2% black pepper essential oil/carrier oil blend to bruises to speed healing. You can use any carrier oil you like with black pepper oil.

*Consult with your doctor before taking black pepper oil orally if you are already taking blood pressure medication.*
